About the Role
The Director of Content Marketing will be responsible for defining our content strategy, leading content creation efforts, and ensuring all outputs reflect our high standards and deep understanding of the crypto/Web3 landscape. You’ll oversee a wide range of initiatives — from thought leadership and educational content to product storytelling and community engagement.
This is a senior individual contributor or team leadership role (based on experience), working cross-functionally with product, partnerships, and leadership teams.
What You’ll Do
Own the Content Strategy: Develop and execute a content roadmap that supports brand awareness, thought leadership, product education, and ecosystem engagement — with a deep focus on the Web3 audience.
Lead Content Creation: Write, edit, and oversee the development of content across all formats — blogs, whitepapers, technical explainers, newsletters, social threads, product pages, videos, and more.
Ensure Quality and Voice: Maintain a high bar for clarity, accuracy, and tone. Ensure all content reflects our brand, respects the nuances of the crypto space, and communicates complex ideas with precision.
Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with product, BD, engineering, and leadership to develop timely, relevant content aligned with launches, security research, partnerships, and community conversations.
Build and Manage a Network: Identify and manage freelance writers, editors, designers, and video producers as needed to scale content output.
Distribute and Amplify: Work with growth and comms teams to optimize distribution across Web3-native and traditional channels (X/Twitter, Farcaster, Mirror, YouTube, newsletter, etc.).
Measure and Iterate: Define KPIs and use performance data to refine the content strategy, ensuring it aligns with audience interests and business goals.
What We’re Looking For
6–8+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, or communications — with at least 3 years in the crypto/Web3 industry.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives around complex or technical topics.
Deep familiarity with the Web3 ecosystem — including major protocols, trends, cultural nuances, and the security landscape.
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, tone, and brand alignment.
Ability to operate independently and thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
Comfortable managing external contributors and coordinating across teams to meet deadlines and priorities.
Strong understanding of content analytics, SEO best practices, and growth tactics relevant to the crypto audience.
Nice to Have
Experience in cybersecurity, developer tools, or infrastructure products.
Background in journalism, technical writing, or editorial leadership.
Experience creating content in multimedia formats (e.g., podcasts, video explainers, long-form research).
Compensation Range: $140K - $175K
